ROLE/RESPONIBILITIES
As a co-founder, I ideate and create content for the magazine. In addition my responsibilities include photography, website design (via squarespace), videography, video editing, graphic design, and sometimes writing content.
GOALS/OBJECTIVE
The goal of Quilt Magazine, besides creating engaging content, is to create a multi-media platform that is more media-rich than a simple Instagram post. We want to urge our readers to read and consume our content directly on the website and have a heavy focus on artistic portraiture and well-produced videography.
Logo Wordmark
The logo for Quilt Magazine embraces a wordmark approach using a modified Cooper typeface, which serves as a powerful representation of our publication. Cooper, known for its ubiquity and approachability, perfectly aligns with our magazine's core philosophy of being "for the people." By utilizing this font, our logo conveys a sense of inclusivity and accessibility, inviting readers from all walks of life to delve into the captivating world of quilting.
The logo is designed as an extruded wordmark, imbued with a delightful and bold touch that enhances its playful essence. By modifying the Cooper typeface, we have achieved a more rounded and approachable aesthetic, evoking a sense of warmth and friendliness.
